Hosting Requirements
Fill out this Referee Course Request Form if you are an assignor and would like to request to
host a first-time referee course for your league or club.
- This course is a four (4) hour Field Training Event (FTE).
- Local clubs, leagues, and assignors are responsible for marketing and advertising courses to
recruit new referees.
- Entry referee courses must have a minimum of 12 referee candidates registered in the US
Soccer Learning Center (LC) within 72 hours of the scheduled course date, or the course may
be cancelled.
- Entry referee courses must have a minimum of 10 referee candidates who have completed all
on-line course requirements in the LC within 48 hours of the scheduled course date, or the
course may be cancelled.
Mandatory Requirements for Hosting a Course
- A lined U-10 to U-12 sized field with anchored goals and corner flags.
- A full-size field is a suitable alternative.
- Climate-controlled indoor safe space, large enough to accommodate the maximum number of
participants expected (plus 3-4, to include course mentors).
- Open and operational restrooms on site.
- Sufficient parking on site.
- Venue contact, if different from assignor, must be on site to unlock the facility 45 minutes
before the course is to begin.
- Courses must be requested at least 3 weeks in advance of the proposed date.
